Web Design Courses
If there is one place that I believe many of us in the technology field overlook is the need to learn good web design. I can tell you this from personal experience with more then 14 years of experience in the computer field behind me. Only in the past year have I taken a severe look at web design.
What I can tell you is web design and development is one of the lowest cost and highest potential areas that exist in today’s day and age. And little wonder. We are in the technology age. One thing that has allowed me to learn at an extremely high rate has been excellent web design courses.
I’ve personally went from knowing very little in web design to becoming an accomplished dynamic web programming in php and mysql in the past six months. From personal experience in the past, the very best web design courses to take are normally the most expensive. Unfortunate but true. But companies that host commercial week long web design courses are utterly focused on making you an expert in this field in weeks.
And it is possible. But if you are a quick study and keep your attention span in a book, one book that I highly recommend, in the php/mysql programming area is Larry Ullman’s PHP6 and MYSQL5 book. Larry has the ability to explain difficult concepts with relative ease. Yes his books are a little lean on details but I find for the relative beginner, the details are enough.
Another area to consider is some of the excellent online courses offered by several internet marketing individuals. There are several good ones and a ton of bad ones. I plan to offer my opinions on some of these courses that I’ve participated in.
While considering web design courses, also consider the courses that tie other important areas together in terms of Internet marketing. Some of these talents include copy writing, sales letter writing, search engine optimization techniques, etc. You can develop the most beautiful website in the world, and no one will see it if you don’t learn how to get ranked by the search engines.
Web design courses can be a very fast way to get up to speed in this lucrative world of the information age on the Internet. Consider them carefully.
